Alexia Mellor and Michelle Dunn are presenting MIND THE GAP, a panel at ISEA2011 Sabanci University, Istanbul, and a performance-based art event to take place September 13-15, 2011 throughout Istanbul. MIND THE GAP playfully alludes to transportation, but refers to gaps or discrepancies of all kinds: geographic, socio-economic and technological. MIND THE GAP is a grassroots artist initiative whose mission is to bring artists and scholars together from around the globe to discuss the ways that contemporary art sheds light on these issues and serves as a catalyst for change.
